Poetry Project
Objective: Students will identify different types of poetry, use poetry reading strategies to anaylize style, rhyme, repetition, stanzas, and theme of poetry, make use of different types of figurative language, and determine the difference between figurative and literal language. Students will create a poetry book using technology and the use of intergrating this project onto their 5th grade websites.
Making inferences is our comprehension strategy used to focus on drawing conclusions while reading poetry and any other literacy text.
